Holy Light

Permanent installation of urban art (with IacopoTiscar). The direction of the light is overturned. Usually, the daylight, coming from the outside, lights up the stained glass windows, visible only to those who enter the Church. This time the light comes from within the Cathedral. And reveals the magnificent kaleidoscope of stained glass to everyone outside. Thanks to 78 luminaires with low environmental impact and low consumption, placed on chains and thus not invasive, the building opens to the city in a dreamlike reversal.
Commissioned by the Urban Decoration Department of the Municipality of Milan, in collaboration with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, with the technical sponsorship of Philips Lighting and the contribution of the AEM Foundation.
FIRST LED PRIZE International Light Festival, Milan 2009.
